Healing Scriptures

revivalfire.ca

I have been very inspired by Dodie Osteen, who is undoubtedly one of the greatest women of faith that this world has ever known, and who is the wife of the late John Osteen, a preacher of the word of God, who is currently on leave of absence, as he awaits his new body in heaven with many others. He shall return.

More than 30 years ago, Dodie was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer and was told she only had weeks to live. This caused her to go to the word of God and meditate on, believe, and appropriate God’s promises concerning healing. She went through an incredible battle where in the night, on her bed, the devil would speak to her in the battlefield of her mind, and tell her she was going to die. Dodie had to resist the devil’s lies, even though in the natural realm, everything looked bleak. In the midst of the devil’s temptations, she would turn to the word of God and say,

“I will not die, but live, and declare Yah’s works.” (Psalm 118:17)

Plus, there were many other verses that she would do the same with. These verses became like a shield and a protection for her. Daily she would go over them. This changed her posture. She chose to believe God over her circumstances and chose faith over doubt. In the course of time, she was healed completely without the use of any traditional medicine. You might think that she would then choose to drop the verses, but she did not. She kept meditating on, believing, and appropriating them every day before she left home. Even today, more than 30 years later, she still goes over these verses every day before leaving home. She says it is her medicine, and she must take her medicine daily.

You can find Dodie’s amazing testimony on-line and at revivalfire.ca/healing/, where you will also find many other videos on healing. These videos address the importance of faith, diet, exercise, emotions, toxins in the environment, a lack of regard for a proper emphasis on nutrition within the medical establishment (as a whole, though there may be exceptions), and more. These videos apply to healing of all diseases, not just cancer, though the bulk of these videos deal with cancer.

Cancer is curable —watch the videos; there are dozens of them, all hand-picked (not machine selected). I recommend you watch them all — since you are serious about getting healed. Knowledge is power —or, as God says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (see Hosea 4:6). Therefore, get informed!

The Bible says, “Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7). These videos will give you a huge push in the right direction and will help to set you on a new path of life, hope, and fruitfulness. You do not have to accept the doctor’s report! These videos include the great preaching of Dodie’s husband, John Osteen. Learn about the type of faith that is required to walk in victory. John had it, and Dodie had it, too. Sometimes, good things run in the family — through faith! If you have any suggestions for more videos, please pass them along at revivalfire.ca/contact/.

Most of you will likely be stunned at what you learn through these videos. Your faith will be taken to new heights. What you did not think was possible you will realize is possible. You will realize that God has put healing in your hands — just reach out and take hold of it. Reach out, by faith! In the end, you will be richly rewarded for it. In the end, it was indeed a test of faith for Dodie. Perhaps you, too, are currently being tested in your faith. And maybe, like Dodie, the doctors have said, “There is no hope.” Well, “with men this is impossible,” Jesus said, “but with God all things are possible” (see Matthew 19:26).

Based on many verses, including Matthew 6:10, 8:3, 14:14, John 14:12,14, James 5:14-16, 1 John 5:14-15, and others — including Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever”— God wants to heal you. Will you start to commit to meditating on the following verses, seeking God’s application? For many of them, the application will be to believe and then declare, even as Jesus said:

“whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; he shall have whatever he says” (see Mark 11:22-24).

In other cases, some of these verses may cause you to make changes to your attitude, or your behavior, which will give the Holy Spirit more room to work in your life. Ultimately, he wants to fill you, and have complete access to every part of your life. Will you allow him? God is a good God and has good plans in store for you.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

A final word. You may not understand all of these verses, and that is OK. In time, you will, even if for now, not all seem to make sense. Part of your understanding will come as you read more and more Scripture. Aim to read Scripture systematically, daily.

Read the following verses until one of them speaks to you. Then, meditate on that passage (mull it over, consider it carefully, and think about it). What is God saying? When the power of God is present, God will often speak to you directly from the Scriptures. You will actually feel the power of God, speaking to you, and convicting you.

Do not be afraid of tears. But also do not lay aside your authority as a believer. We can weep, which brings cleansing. But we must also be strong, stand against the temptations of the devil, and declare our victory over the powers of darkness. We must “stand firm,” as the apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 6:13.

The power of God is noticeable, but God will not beat you over the head. If you have conviction concerning something you might have done wrong, he longs to forgive you. If you feel despair or hopelessness, that is not God. God will convict you (by his Holy Spirit), but he will also provide a way out (see 1 Corinthians 10:13).

1 John 1:9 tells us that God is faithful, and will forgive us if we confess our sins. James 5:16 tells us to confess our sins to one another, and pray for one another, that we may be healed. 1 Corinthians 12:7-10 tells us that God has given healing gifts. And Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please God. If you want to get healed, read God’s word, appropriate the promises in it, be determined to be faithful to what God tells you as you read it, and expect God for an answer.

The following Scriptures are faith-building and God will bless you as you pay attention to them and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you, and direct you.

Healing Scriptures

If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you. (Exodus 15:26)

You shall serve Yahweh your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you. (Exodus 23:25)

It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you, and overtake you, if you listen to Yahweh your God’s voice. (Deuteronomy 28:1-2)

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your descendants; to love Yahweh your God, to obey his voice, and to cling to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days; that you may dwell in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb. Moreover by them is your servant warned. In keeping them there is great reward. Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. (Psalm 103:1-5)

But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him. (Psalm 103:12-13)

My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:20-23)

The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45)
